Review of Canine Harnesses:

The cache canine harnesses are available. The aluminum spine bar can be used or not at the handler's discretion. The two ways to rig them are shown.
Proper fit of harnesses is reviewed and teams are free to try them out. The dog’s legs must extend comfortably under it. The harness must not force the dog’s legs apart when its weight is in the harness. The dog’s weight must be evenly distributed. Many dogs are chest heavy; these dogs benefit from having their hips just below level to take the pressure off their necks.
As handlers select an appropriate harness, the teams are free to work with the dog at becoming accustomed to resting in a harness. The dog must learn to wait quietly once harnessed. A dog who can eat treats while harnessed and suspended is a comfortable dog.
